Dark money spending on the election is a major issue as folks get bombarded by misleading ads.

The No Tax Breaks for Dark Money Act (HR 10651) was introduced earlier this month. We'll deliver all signatures to the House Ways and Means Committee, as well as giving signers a followup opportunity to contact their own representatives.

Millionaires and billionaires dominate our political system by donating massive sums — including to dark money groups, who can make outrageous, misleading ads without anything being traced back to the donor.
And still worse: right now, the super-rich can save millions in taxes while funneling these funds into dark-money groups, since transferring appreciated assets means they avoid capital gains taxes.
Simply put: billionaires should not get a special tax break for pouring their wealth into dark money groups and corrupting our political system.
Sign the petition to Congress and tell them to start cracking down on billionaire power in politics.
The petition to the House Ways and Means Committee reads: “Billionaire power in politics has reached outrageous levels. Right now, the public is essentially subsidizing a tax break for wealthy donors who give appreciated assets to a dark-money election-influence effort through 501c4, 5, or 6. The least we can do is close this loophole by passing HR 10651, the No Tax Breaks for Dark Money Act.”
