Block Trump’s Anti-Worker Labor Secretary Nominee

Donald Trump wants to put an anti-worker loyalist in charge of the Department of Labor — and the Senate could vote any day.

Keith Sonderling’s record should alarm every worker in America. As a commissioner at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, he voted against a rule implementing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act — a landmark protection meant to ensure pregnant workers can get basic accommodations instead of being pushed out of their jobs.

The labor secretary is supposed to protect workers from discrimination, retaliation, wage theft, unsafe conditions, and corporate abuse. Someone who opposed strong protections for pregnant workers cannot be trusted to defend the people who keep this country running.
