Denounce Trump’s Pardons of January 6 Insurrectionists

Just hours after taking the oath of office, Donald Trump betrayed it by pardoning some of the most violent criminals involved in the January 6th insurrection. Leaders of extremist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys—who planned and instigated the deadly attack on our Capitol—were among those pardoned. These are individuals who broke into the seat of our democracy, terrorized our elected representatives, and caused death and destruction in an effort to overturn the will of the people.

This blatant abuse of power is an insult to the rule of law and the very foundation of our democracy. Americans across races, places, and political affiliations watched in horror as the events of January 6 unfolded. We saw violent mobs, incited by Trump and MAGA Republicans, attack our country in an attempt to cling to power. Now, Trump is using the presidency to reward those who sought to undermine it.

These pardons send a chilling message: If you commit crimes for Trump, you will face no consequences. This is not leadership—it’s lawlessness. This is not justice—it’s a disgraceful betrayal of the American people.

It’s time to turn our horror into action. We must denounce Trump’s dangerous agenda and hold him accountable for abusing the powers of his office to protect those who attacked our democracy.

We call on Congress, state leaders, and the American people to denounce Trump’s pardons and reject MAGA’s attempts to rewrite history and subvert justice. Together, we can stand up for liberty and justice for all and ensure that no one—not even a president—is above the law.

Sign this petition to stand against Trump’s reckless abuse of power and fight for a democracy where justice prevails.
