Facebook: stop online monkey torture groups!

Across Facebook, organised groups are using the platform to buy, sell, and celebrate the torture of baby monkeys. Members pay to request acts of extreme cruelty, including killing mother monkeys while their babies are forced to watch. These are not isolated incidents. They are coordinated networks that treat animal suffering as entertainment and profit from unimaginable violence.

We've seen how these groups regroup when one is shut down, moving between private communities while continuing to recruit new members. Social media companies have the power to stop these groups from operating openly, but Facebook continues to struggle to remove them before more animals suffer.

Every day these groups remain online, more baby monkeys face horrific abuse. Facebook must take responsibility for the content it hosts and act quickly to identify, remove, and permanently ban monkey torture groups, accounts, and the people behind them. No platform should provide a safe haven for organised animal torture.

Sign this petition to tell Facebook to stop allowing monkey torture on their platform.
